*Oakmont Recycling Bins

New containers were delivered to Oakmont Commons on March 13, as part of a new recycle program with the Oakmont Borough. If any resident wants to exchange the small cart for the larger cart, they are welcome to do so at no cost.  Just contact the Borough Office.

*Freeport Road Reconstruction Work begins Monday in Harmar Township!

Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Freeport Road will be restricted to a single 11 foot lane in each direction in the area of the Hulton Bridge. The long-term restriction will be in place around-the-clock through Monday, October 19. The southbound dedicated left turn lane will be eliminated during construction. Motorists traveling southbound will still be able to turn left to cross the Hulton Bridge. Crews will conduct roadway reconstruction work. The work is part of the $64.8 million dollar project to replace the 105 year old bridge with a new four lane structure. The new bridge will be approximately 1,600 feet long and located directly upstream of the existing bridge. Additionally, the project includes reconstruction of approximately 1,300 feet of Freeport Road and 550 feet of Hulton Road, signal and lighting upgrades, curb and sidewalk improvements, drainage, pavement markings and utility relocation. Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the area. Visit 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions and cameras on major roadways before traveling..
